Nursing Awards

Leadership. Commitment. Quality.

As nursing professionals, you know quality patient care depends on individuals who understand the needs of patients and the challenges nurses encounter as they strive to deliver the best possible care.

At Baxter, we believe leadership, which balances these factors, results in excellence in frontline healthcare management and delivery, and deserves to be recognized and celebrated. That’s why we established the Baxter Nursing Awards; to recognize the passion and dedication you bring to work each and every day.

Recognizing Leaders

The Nursing Leadership Award is an initiative of the Canadian College of Health Service Executives’ (CCHSE’s) Canadian Center for Health Leadership and is made possible by a grant from Baxter. Why? Because we know Canada’s nursing leaders share our commitment to the highest quality and safest possible healthcare for patients - and we believe that kind of leadership should be recognized.

As your corporate partner, Baxter is keenly aware of the vital role nurses play and the exceptional leadership skills required to inspire confidence and motivate effectively in the face of often difficult, and always challenging work. Baxter is proud to recognize your leaders and distinguish the outstanding contribution and achievements in improving healthcare delivery.

Recognizing Front-Line Care

The Jill E. Schneuker/Baxter Corporation Fellowship in Nursing Sciences Award is an initiative of the of the Canadian Nurses Foundation’s Scholarship Program made possible by a grant from Baxter. The award is named as a tribute to one of our long-standing employees – a nurse herself. This award recognizes a Registered Nurse pursuing a Masters of Nursing Degree who has shown nursing leadership and excellence in her career.

Recognizing Patient Safety

Through the Canadian Association of Critical Care Nurses, Baxter’s Guardian Scholarship is awarded to an individual or an interdisciplinary team who propose to make, or who have made, significant contributions toward patient and/or caregiver safety in the critical care environment. Recipients of this award will identify ideas that encompass safety and improve the quality of care in their practice area.

Baxter believes strong leadership and continuous learning are integral to quality patient care and want to recognize and honour the dedication and commitment to both.
