Baxter’s ethics and business practice standards reflect our social responsibility to you, our employees and society. In 1993, we established our Corporate Responsibility Office (CRO) to support our commitment to the highest standards of ethics and integrity. The CRO assures the development and communication of appropriate business practice standards. Our Global Business Practice Standards manual helps employees understand the principles that govern our business, communicates clear expectations and provides resources for guidance and support in upholding them.

All Baxter employees must acknowledge our Global Business Practice Standards. Each of us has the responsibility to understand and demonstrate these values and principles in our work. Our annual Certificate of Integrity and Compliance helps integrate integrity into our corporate culture. It ensures our Global Business Practice Standards are being uniformly applied and that our employees are personally accountable for meeting them. Baxter is a member of MEDEC, Canada’s national association for the medical device industry. The association’s newly established voluntary Code of Conduct was developed to ensure companies in the medical device industry set the standard for productive and ethically sound relationships with healthcare professionals. We support this Code of Conduct as it encourages and holds our industry accountable for demonstrating ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct.
